Girls Basketball

The girls program here at LDM is very special, we believe that girls deserve the same opportunities as boys to play, learn, and thrive through basketball. Our mission is to break barriers and challenge outdated norms by creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where girls can grow both on and off the court. Through teamwork, confidence-building, and skill development, we aim to help every girl discover her strength, voice, and love for the game.

We are about to start FREE GIRLS BASKETBALL for girls aged 8-16 on Wednesday’s @ Trinity Academy from 6pm-7:30 starting on the 26th November.

We also help run a women’s session (over 18yo) on a Thursdays 6-7pm, at Beeston Hill St. Luke's C of E Primary School LS11 8ND, for more information visit @southleedsvalkyries on instagram

“It’s my passion to ensure that girls from all backgrounds have the opportunity to play and compete in basketball. I want to be a role model that young girls can see themselves in — someone who shows them that they belong in the game. Alongside all the community basketball, we have launched LDM’s first-ever U12s girls team — a group of eager, talented young players who inspire me every single day.”
