The girls program here at LDM is very special, we believe that girls deserve the same opportunities as boys to play, learn, and thrive through basketball. Our mission is to break barriers and challenge outdated norms by creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where girls can grow both on and off the court. Through teamwork, confidence-building, and skill development, we aim to help every girl discover her strength, voice, and love for the game.
Her World. Her Rules. returns to LDM this March with a girls-only event designed to inspire, develop, and celebrate the next generation of players.
Taking place on Saturday 7th March 2026 at The Edge, University of Leeds, this free event will feature a beginners U11 Skills Lab alongside U13 and U16 3x3 tournaments, creating opportunities for girls of all abilities to learn, play, and compete in a supportive environment.
Held in celebration of International Women’s Day, the afternoon will also include games, raffles, guest speakers, and local businesses in attendance.

““It’s my passion to ensure that girls from all backgrounds have the opportunity to play and compete in basketball. I want to be a role model that young girls can see themselves in — someone who shows them that they belong in the game. Alongside all the community basketball, we have launched LDM’s first-ever U12s girls team — a group of eager, talented young players who inspire me every single day.”
